PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

HI!!! guys have u followed my posting before about TENSES and SIMPLE PRESENT. if u have not followed it u can click here TENSE and SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE. OK I will not waste the time anymore in this time i would like to share my little knowledge about PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE or we can call it PRESENT PROGRESSIVE. alright guys we will start from the function "what the function of present continuous tense?" the function of this tense is to explain about activities that on progress when the speaker spoke or in bahasa we can said aktivitas yang sedang dalam proses so if we translate present continuous tense in bahasa ada artian sedang sebagai contoh "I am writing" saya sedang menulis.

To make a sentence using present continuous we have to use Ving Ving is V1 that suffix by -ing in the end of the word the example :

sleep       sleeping
do           doing
work       working
watch      watching
sweep     sweeping
clean       cleaning
etc.
 Remember only V1 that can be suffix by -ing.

but when u use Ving u have to use to be after subject and before the Ving the to be thet use here is (is,am, and are) where "is" is used by subject "HE,SHE, IT" and Name. tobe "am" is used by subject "I" and tobe "are" is used by subject "YOU, THEY, and WE" the example :

I am doing my homework
My sister is sweeping the floor
They are going to school.

to make present continuous in negative form we just need to add "NOT" after be and for interrogative form just put the be in front of the subject. the example :

she is not listening to me
I am not watching television
are you reading this post?

there are some time signal that we can use for this tense such us "right now, at the moment, currently, to day". I think that all my basic explanation about present continuous tense actually there are another function of present continuous tense, i will explain it next time because it has correlation with future tense thank you for reading my posting please leave some trace by giving critics on the comment below.
